Sugar Candied Cranberries

Serves: 3 cups
  • 300g (3 cups) fresh cranberries – wash and dry
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup fine grain sugar – for coating
  1. Add water, granulated sugar and bring to boil.
  2. Simmer for about 10 mins. Turn off heat.
  3. Add cranberries to the hot syrup and transfer into a container. Refrigerate overnight.
  4. Spread out the caster sugar onto a large tray.
  5. Strain the cranberries from the syrup and transfer into the tray. Toss them evenly so each cranberry is coated with the sugar.
  6. Use a scoop or strainer to transfer the coated cranberries onto a clean tray.
  7. Allow to dry for a couple hours so that the sugar will stick to the cranberries.
  8. Pop into your mouth and enjoy!
