Easy Air-Fry Honey Garlic Chicken

  • 6 large chicken drumsticks
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Juice from 1 large lime (substitute with half lemon if unavailable)
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • Black pepper to taste
  1. Rinse the chicken and pat dry with paper towel.
  2. Using a sharp knife, make a couple of slits on the chicken so that the marinade will penetrate deeper into the meat.
  3. Add all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl and mix well.
  4. Place chicken drumsticks into the bowl and coat them evenly with the marinade.
  5. Transfer into a large Ziploc bag and leave it in the fridge for 6 hours or overnight.
  6. Bring the drumsticks to room temperature for about 30 mins.
  7. Pre-heat your air fryer at 180°C for 2 mins.
  8. Place drumsticks into the air fryer basket, leaving about 2 inches apart from each other.
  9. Do not overcrowd the air fryer. Do in it several batches if necessary.
  10. Cook for about 12 to 14 mins, flipping them halfway through.
  11. Serve warm.
