Banana Fritter Balls

An easy, delicious, crunchy snack or finger food that fun to make and eat!

Serves: about 25 fritter balls
  • 3 large ripe bananas (preferably with black dots on the skin)
  • 1 ½ cup (200 g) rice flour
  • ½ cup (70 g) plain flour
  • 1 ½ tbsp baking powder
  • 1 cup (225 g) granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup (60ml) water
  1. In a large bowl, mash the bananas and all the dry ingredients together. You could either use a fork or your hands.
  2. Add in water and mix until it forms a paste.
  3. Heat up some oil (about 2-inch level) to 180°C/350°F.
  4. Use a spoon and drop in a spoonful of the banana paste, one at a time. It should roughly form a ball shape.
  5. Deep fry for 3 mins, until golden brown. Stir occasionally to keep them from sticking.
  6. Drain on paper towel and serve warm.
