Spaghetti Bolognese is one of our favorite weeknight dinners. I’ve made this dish countless times and every time without fail, our house always smells like a Trattoria in Italy.
Most traditional Bolognese recipes call for red wine but I chose to omit it since we might not always have that in our fridge. Honestly, I love it as it is.

Air fry cooking needs no introduction and if you’re like me, always looking for new ways to make easy, healthy and delicious food, then this recipe is for you.
Initially, I was skeptical and hesitant in using air fryers. After all, I had gone without it for so long and using “air” to cook food? I was so not convinced the end product will taste good. Two years later, I’m absolutely enamored with air fryers.

Bak Chor Mee aka Minced Pork Noodles is one of Singapore’s most iconic dish. Today’s Bak Chor Mee Soup is inspired by Bedok 85 (Fengshan Centre) bak chor mee. Dedicated foodies go there strictly for the soup-based bak chor mee. There are actually two stalls, side by side to each other. Both stalls are frequented by loyal patrons and a constant queue can always be spotted.

Recently, there has been an influx on ads selling Ngoh Hiang online. And most of them “originated” from their grandmas’ secret recipes. Few weeks ago, my beloved sis ordered from this insta-famous retailer with 100% positive reviews so it must be good, right? Well, all I could say is she won’t be ordering from them anymore. So I decide to get in touch with my Hokkien roots and make some. But first, I have to do my own research. My late grandma did not have pass down any secret Ngoh Hiang recipe to me. Plus, there are two versions – Hokkien and Teochew Ngoh Hiang. Do you know what the difference between these two types is?

Go to any Sichuan restaurants and you’ll probably find Wonton in Spicy Chilli Oil (红油抄手) in their menu. The soul of this dish lies mainly in freshly made wontons and a kick-ass spicy Sichuan chilli oil. It is that simple. Or not.

This Thai-Style Crispy Pork Belly is another mouth-watering favorite snack whenever I wander around the streets in Bangkok. Now, the mere thought of deep frying is enough to put off many health Nazis, not to mention the choice of cut used as well. However, since pork fat has made it to number 8 on the list of top 100 nutritious food and we are using good quality cooking oil, making this dish at home seems to lessen my guilt on eating this intensely crispy and meltingly tender meat. Of course, in a healthy diet, all foods are okay in moderation. Pair it with a serving of refreshing salad or vegetables that are low in calories and all will be well.

Over Christmas and New Year’s period, this Thai-style Roast Chicken made its debut twice at our dinner parties. Not only was it well received, the subtle Thai flavors complimented well with the rest of the other dishes without sticking out like a sore thumb.

Besides their affordable furniture and home furnishing, IKEA Singapore is also well known for their great range of meals and snacks. In fact, their Swedish Meatballs and Fried Chicken Wings are the most popular items to order. *Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post. Ever since I posted my Better-than-Ikea Swedish Meatballs last year, I’ve been wanting to recreate my own copycat version of IKEA Chicken Wings. After two rounds of kitchen testing, I think this is it. Actually, my test testers think these wings are better than IKEA’s...

Bold and bright flavors are the main characteristics of Korean cuisine. And this Korean-scented BBQ chicken leg is no exception. Crispy, salty and wonderfully moist, it is an ideal dish to be paired up with some Korean alcohol such as soju or makgeolli. If you intend to host or take part in a BBQ party, this chicken dish is extremely ideal and will be a definite favorite amongst family and friends. Just half cook the chicken in the oven before finishing it on the grill afterwards. The reason why this has to be done, it to ensure that the chicken is fully cooked before the marinade starts to burn. Garlic and soy sauce are excellent marinade ingredients. However, they do burn fast when being cooked on an open flame. Therefore, it is better to precook the chicken before finishing it off on the BBQ...

This is the perfect meal for anyone who is on a low carb diet, and who likes tasty food without too much fuss. Crispy and succulent chicken thighs are paired up with a simple sauce, and enjoyed with sweet, caramelized roasted garlic. Leftover roast chicken keeps extremely well, and can be enjoyed in many other ways. Leftover chicken meat can be shredded and makes a delicious sandwich filling...
